What's On
The Railway Boys

The Railway Boys are a band from Ulster that combines traditional music from this country with the folk music and musical traditions of America, Canada, and beyond. The group first met in the Railway Bar in Newry, County Armagh, from which the band’s name
comes. Two of the most talented young singers from the north, Armagh’s Piaras Ó Lorcáin and Micky Ó Fearáin, sing a mix of Irish music, and songs that have come across the sea from America and Canada. Oisín Ó Murchú from County Monaghan plays on banjo and Brian Ó Gallachóir of Donegal on the whistle, as well as neat percussion from Seán Ó Braoin from Portadown on the bodhrán.
The group will release an EP in mid-summer, followed by an Irish tour.
